Our client in Schaumburg, IL (on site) is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team!
Responsibilities :
- Newly created position to be subject matter expert for payroll.
- Process payroll for 225 hourly and salaried employees.
- Process hour uploads and employee payroll changes (such as retros, bonus payments, tax withholding changes, and correct garnishment calculations).
- Manage timely quarterly and annual tax reconciliations as well as W-2 and W-2C issuance must demonstrate a working knowledge of multi- jurisdictional, local and federal employment tax rules and regulations.
- Manage special projects, Workers Comp Audit, 401k Audit and keep interested parties informed.
- Work to bring in process improvements and best practices
- Work closely with senior level executives and act as advisor
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including broad HR experience
- Strong technical and employment tax knowledge of payroll required
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree highly desired
- ADP experience a plus
