IT Systems Analyst - Clinical 3rd Party Systems

Summary

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting IT applications and for ensuring the availability, stability, and reliability of those applications. They monitor system performance, identify, and resolve technical issues, and ensure efficient operation of all clinical systems. The analyst also provides technical support to end-users and collaborates with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems related to clinical systems. This role focuses on implementing and supporting IT clinical applications, including blood bank systems, fetal monitoring, ECG management, and clinical device connectivity. The role is part of the clinical 3rd party applications team supporting a broad scope of clinical applications.

IT Systems Analyst I

Job Requirements

Education

Preferred :  Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Required : 2 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows and / or IT support, including experience with nursing, provider, or ancillary department technologies OR Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field.

Skills

• Basic understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows
• Knowledge of at least one clinical IT systems, including electronic health records (EHRs), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), laboratory information systems (LIS), and other related applications.
• Ability to follow project plans and details.
• Attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment and adapt to project specific requirements.
• Basic knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
