Surgical Support Aide - Operating Room
PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgical Support Aide - Operating Room for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, 10hr Day (6 : 45a-5 : 15p) position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $21.49$31.88. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.
Job Summary : Responsible for assisting in tasks involving patient care and maintenance of the operating room. The primary focus is to help with set-up and efficient turnover of the operating rooms and caring for the instruments and equipment to be used during the surgical procedure.
Essential Functions :
- Assist in pulling instruments and supplies for surgical procedures. Set up equipment for surgical procedure.
- Order and restock inventory and supplies for department. Stock and put supplies away in individual operating rooms.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment. Assists with clean-up and room turnover.
- Provide assistance with moving and lifting patients. Transport patients.
- Transport specimens to appropriate area / unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Oregon West Network : Six months of patient care experience required.Medical Assistant certification preferred.CNA I required at time of hireWorking Conditions :
Lifting : Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and / or devices (NIOSH).Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment (i.e. stretchers, wheelchairs, etc.).Frequent reaching / grasping.Occasional bending / stooping.Push / Pull : Frequently up to 25 lbs. force. Occasional up to 50 lbs. force.Environmental Conditions :
