Commercial Banking Intern

The AMCB Summer Intern supports their Line of Business in the development and execution of work projects to support the Business' goals & objectives. The Summer Intern embodies TD's Shared Commitments and customer-focused culture.

TD Commercial Banking helps commercial customers manage their funds, finance their growth, and invest for the future by taking the time to understand their goals and customize products and services to suit their needs. This includes everything from governments, institutions and businesses, ranging from small "mom and pop" stores to multi-billion-dollar corporations.

This Commercial Banking Intern functions as a Credit Analyst Intern and is responsible for conducting in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers. This job works cooperatively to support the Lending and Credit functions of the Bank.

• Responsible for financial analysis of moderately complex loans / industries / customers
• Works more independently but under the guidance and review of lead staff
• Good understanding of loan risk factors
• Researches industry specific information from outside sources
• Participates in customer meetings and makes direct inquiries for specific customer information
• Integral part of loan origination process
• Supports the lending function by providing analytical support
• Prepares insightful and timely approval memorandums for presentation to appropriate lending and credit authorities
• Thoroughly analyzes financial statements, management profiles, business and product cycles, cash flow ability, collateral, agings, etc. of future and existing customers
• May prepare complete written analysis with appropriate recommendations
• May maintain credit files, monitor data, and prepare updated analysis memos
• Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provides written analysis that identifies any deviations from the company commercial loan policy
• Achieves operational performance standards in quality and timeliness

Commercial Banking is offering in-person internship opportunities in Mount Laurel, NJ. Interns will be required to be in-office 4 days a week.
