LifeSmart Youth is a nonprofit organization that has empowered Indiana youth since 1943. We deliver comprehensive, school-based health education programs that align with Indiana Academic Standards and support young people in making safe, informed, and healthy choices. Our core programs focus on human growth and development, life skills, healthy relationships, bullying prevention, and the prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

Position Summary

The Director of Development & Marketing is a senior leadership position responsible for the organization's fundraising, donor engagement, and marketing strategy. This role ensures LifeSmart Youth's financial sustainability and public visibility by developing and executing comprehensive development and communication plans. The Development Director will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and external partners to advance LifeSmart Youth's mission.

Core Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Relations

• Develop and lead an annual Fund Development Plan to drive diversified revenue (grants, individual giving, corporate sponsorships).
• Manage relationships with grant writers / contractors and align proposals with organizational goals.
• Lead the execution of fundraising events and donor campaigns in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Strengthen relationships with existing donors and funders while cultivating new support.
• Ensure stewardship and acknowledgment practices are timely and meaningful.
• Monitor fundraising performance and ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.
• Oversee donor database (Salesforce), sponsor recognition, and donor recordkeeping.
• Coordinate the Development & Marketing Committee and support Board development efforts.
