Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS) is seeking a Finance / Accounting intern. This student filling this position will handle a wide range of financial, accounting, and system related tasks

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Support clerical accounting functions such as reviewing credit card chargebacks for accuracy and compliance, processing lockbox transactions, and preparing cash deposits.

Provide support for billing operations as needed, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and related documentation.

Assisting with month-end close activities and handling ad hoc requests from the team.

Complete special projects as assigned by management.

Provide backup as directed by supervisor and other duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION :

Working towards a degree in Accounting or Finance

EXPERIENCE :

Relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments

COMPETENCIES - SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :

Attention to detail.

PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Good oral and written communication.

Ability to follow directions. Willingness to learn new processes.

Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.

Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.

Good work ethic and habits.

Pay $16 - $18
