The role involves supporting the manufacturing and process engineering team with a focus on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with experience in cross-functional management and a strong understanding of the automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality landscape.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis of quality issues using advanced problem-solving tools.
- Recommend and implement cost-effective permanent corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators.
- Manage engineering changes with a cross-functional team to ensure timely execution.
- Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation.
- Serve as the point of contact for engineering quality and all product-related incidents.
- Ensure delivery of third-party quality metrics and provide creative thinking to data analysis.
- Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment.
- Establish partnerships both internally and externally and influence without direct authority.
- Commit to delivering a premier product to the consumer and represent the Voice of the Customer to platform teams.
Mandatory Skills
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization.Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required.Optional Skills
