Position Overview : The Business Site Manager leads the operations and business performance of a repair and rebuild facility specializing in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes, blowers, turbines, etc.) and precision machining services. This role carries full P&L accountability for the site, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Site Manager drives strategic and day-to-day leadership to achieve growth, profitability, and long-term success of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Leadership & Financial Accountability
- Lead the site as a standalone business unit with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, ensuring financial targets and growth objectives are met.
- Develop and execute the site's strategic and annual business plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Manage revenue, cost structure, and capital expenditures to optimize financial performance.
- Review financial results, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure sustainable profitability.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion, new customer acquisition, and market diversification.
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations including repair, rebuild, machining, and testing of rotating equipment.Ensure efficient resource allocation, job scheduling, and workflow management for on-time, high-quality delivery.Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and process efficiency.Maintain and improve facility performance metrics (on-time delivery, rework rate, labor utilization, etc.).Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, machinists, mechanics, and administrative staff.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Oversee workforce planning, training, and performance management to ensure the right skills and capabilities are in place.Customer & Market Focus
Serve as the senior on-site representative for customers, ensuring technical, schedule, and commercial commitments are met.Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop proposals, quotations, and repair scopes.Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to enhance customer loyalty and business retention.Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.Quality, Safety, & Compliance
Enforce adherence to company standards, safety policies, and all applicable regulationsOversee quality control, inspection, and testing to ensure products and services meet or exceed specifications.Lead by example in creating a zero-incident, high-performance safety culture.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Business, or related field (required); MBA or advanced degree is a plus.Minimum 7–10 years of experience in rotating equipment repair, machining, or heavy industrial service operations.Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a P&L or site / general management role.Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to travel as business needs require.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Benefits :
