Overview
The Core Team Engineer Network Quality is responsible for ensuring the proper application and robustness of requirements related to electrical network quality in power electronic systems (PIM and IDCM) for electrified powertrain programs and will ensure that network quality criteria are properly integrated into technical specifications, RFQs, design phases, and testing processes.
This person will act as a technical expert for development, validation, purchasing, and innovation teams in an international context and represents the Network Quality function to suppliers and internal partners, ensuring alignment with global requirements across NA programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Draft and maintain network quality requirements within PIM / IDCM technical specifications.
Contribute to RFQ (Request for Quotation) documentation by including all relevant network power quality requirements.Evaluate supplier technical proposals and prepare synthesis reports for the scorecard process.Report technical choices to the Network Quality Referent for approval.Power electronics and simulation :Provide EDM and PIM electrical models for DC ripples simulation platform
Build DC Network model using dedicated tools (Ltspice, Matlab)Provide DC ripples assessment by simulation using HV vehicle network modelCritical Design Reviews (CDR) :Ensure network quality topics are addressed and assessed during design reviews.
Review supplier simulations (particularly DC ripple analyses).Escalate unresolved technical risks as needed.Support for Testing & Validation (DVP&R) :Define testing configurations (equipment list, procedures, operating points).
Support bench and in-vehicle testing efforts related to network quality.Analyze test reports and recommend corrective actions where applicable.Expert Network & Strategy Deployment :Actively contribute to the animation of the Network Quality expert community.
Lead the techno-economic roadmap for the reference framework(s) within HVSI scope, with a focus on optimizing quality, cost, delivery timelines, and customer valueMaintain HV global engineering standard CS.00245Integrate lessons learned and best practices into the reference framework.Collaborate with Purchasing to align sourcing strategies.Roll out training and support technical upskilling initiatives.Foresight & Innovation :Contribute to technical benchmarking and validation of emerging technologies.
