Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist for weekend 12-hour shifts, requiring ARRT, BLS, IEMA licensure, and experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment with Epic charting proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital radiology department serving a Level 1 trauma population
  • Patient cases include trauma and routine diagnostic imaging
  • Uses portable radiographic equipment and C-arm in patient rooms, intensive care, and surgery
  • Performs procedures in radiographic and fluoroscopic rooms
  • Epic EMR system experience required
  • Weekend day schedule : Friday-Sunday, 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM, 12-hour shifts
  • Responsible for positioning patients, adjusting imaging equipment, and ensuring use of radiation safety measures
  • Assist radiologists with routine fluoroscopic and invasive procedures
  • Must maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow department procedures and protocols
  • Expected to provide direction and instruction to students when needed
  • May be required to transport patients and prepare / maintain supplies and equipment
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from facility
  • Approved RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Workers may not be on continuous assignments longer than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning

  • Current ARRT (R) certification required
  • Illinois IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology required
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in radiology, including Level 1 trauma setting
  • Proficiency with Epic charting required
  • Ability to perform multiple procedures and coordinate patient flow
