The Willows at Gretna has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Director. The purpose of this position is to manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a healthcare facility. The ideal Maintenance candidate will have prior experience in healthcare building management and strong technical skills.
Summary / Objective
In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the residents we serve. The Maintenance Person plays a critical role in maintaining all physical plant assets on the property. The Maintenance Person manages the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department through a system called TELS.

Work Environment
This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility while pulling or pushing carts. This position works in resident care areas as well as outside weather conditions. This role may also come into contact with residents who may have contagious illnesses. This role requires the Maintenance Director to be on call. This position is a working position completing maintenance task and is not an office position.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move objects weighing over 50 pounds. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
Travel
On occasions may need to travel to and from various locations in and around the surrounding community.
Required Education and Experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Computer skills to perform job duties.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee, and company propriety information.
Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees as all levels.
