Average 220 visits per day.\n\nOur Registered Nurse (RN) staff are proficient in Stroke and STEMI activations and established care guidelines\n\nThis is a fast-paced ER environment whose success is dependent on teamwork. We have 50 exam rooms and 6 trauma bays\n\nRNs work closely with ED Providers, Social Workers, Registration, etc. because we are truly in it together!\n\nThe Emergency department primarily cares for adult populations, but we do care for pediatric patients as needed.\n\nRegistered Nurses (RN) can be involved in Improvement projects, Shared Governance, department committees and councils. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.\n\nEssential Functions of the Role\n
• As an RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.\n

• Grad of an Accredited RN Program\n
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.\n
• RN license.\n
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.\n
• 1 Year of RN experience in ED required
