Role Description
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of production equipment maintenance in the production plant. The production environment is operational 6 days per week so the technician is responsible to maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot equipment in production areas.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Support production lines by troubleshooting and correcting failures
- Maintain adherence to preventative maintenance protocol
- Complete assigned work orders and tasks in a timely manner
- Be able to rebuild and overhaul all production equipment
- Ensure spare parts are inventoried, maintained and ordered according to needs
- Communicate with area leads, supervisors, and managers
- Provide consistent communication with fellow maintenance staff through End of Shift reports
- Support our continuous improvement manufacturing process by participating in established routines with production operators and following up on top causes of downtime
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow established safety, quality and environmental policies, practices, and programs
- Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds / repairs / maintenance.
- Maintain tools according to 5S methodology
- Install new equipment as necessary and provide technical expertise to train and support production with a continued desire for lean supply chain process initiatives and improvement
- Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
- Quality reviews of equipment assigned to maintain safety and performance standards
Experience Requirements :
2+ years of maintenance experienceExcellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsHydraulic and pneumatics maintenanceAbility to read schematicsExperience working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systemsMust be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment; a variety of skills needed : Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, docks and doors, security systemsExperience in Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) and safety regulations, technical experience in machine mechanics and equipment troubleshootingBilingual in English and Spanish preferred, team-focused and with the ability to hold others accountableEducation :
High School diploma or equivalent degree / certificateTrade School certified preferredCultural Requirements :
