Job Details : Purpose

Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Development, Donor and Alumni Relations and Stewardship at Dell Medical School, this position will execute principal gift donor cultivation and advancement strategies and will be key in building and strengthening relationships with top donors through advisory board management.

This role will advance long- and short-term strategies, provide advisory board management and co-implement annual individualized donor engagement plans to advance donor engagement strategies.

They are responsible measuring progress, as well as oversight of the analysis of donor interactions and cultivation to solicitation outcomes.

Responsibilities

Volunteer & Donor Engagement : Manage Dell Med advisory board(s) and volunteer committee(s) with a focus on advancing donor strategies, donor identification, stewardship and increased giving.

Co-develop multi-faceted communication strategies with the development communications team and gift officers to deliver a regular cadence of information and impact sharing to various donor groups.

Co-create and co-implement annual individualized donor engagement plan and calendar for Dell Med principal gift donors that focus on meaningful experiences and conveying impact.

Tracking & Reporting : Create and manage a system for tracking and analyzing donor interactions to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement, gaining valuable insights into which strategies are most effective for engaging and soliciting donations and provide accurate forecasting for anticipated gift closures.

Measure impact over stewardship and donor relations team output, measuring ROI and outcomes to hone stewardship and donor relations strategies.

Internal Coordination : Regularly meet and engage with gift officers, research, annual giving, events and communications teams to ensure cohesive outreach and engagement for principal gift donors.

Liaise with Texas Development advancement and stewardship teams to ensure cohesive stewardship and engagement for donors managed by multiple colleges, schools and units.

List Management : Create all invitation lists for key donor-facing events as well as donor-hosted salon events in partnership with prospect management team.

Create and maintain all donor communication lists and activity codes for broad donor communications in partnership with research and development communications teams.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in direct fundraising, donor relations, volunteer board management and / or alumni relations with a strong understanding of the donor identification and cultivation process.

Program development experience and writing experience in a professional setting, including letter writing, reports, grants or similar.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Passion for storytelling and conveying impact. Strong attention to detail.

Proactive. Problem solver. Outstanding organizational skills and experience using reporting tools and donor management software.

Excellent with data management, forecasting, and identifying trends and patterns. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Experience in project management. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, effectively balance and communicate competing priorities.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Passion for health care and building donor relationships. Five years of experience in direct fundraising, donor relations, volunteer board management and / or alumni relations.

Three years of experience working for a health enterprise or university. Experience with fundraising databases and knowledge of prospecting tools and reports within prospective donor relations systems, e.

g. Raiser's Edge, Sales Force, etc. Proven self-starter capable of making sound, ethical, independent judgments. Integrity, professionalism, and collegiality are highest personal values;

Success in working on a team, collaboratively and interdisciplinary; Personal and professional confidence, accompanied by a sense of humor and empathy toward others.

Salary Range

$60,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines.

Occasional interstate, intrastate and international travel.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
