About the Role
The company is on the lookout for a Senior Vice President of Project Management to spearhead its enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). In this dynamic role, you will be pivotal in standardizing project controls, enhancing delivery excellence, and ensuring successful completion of a portfolio of transportation and infrastructure programs within budget, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for building and evolving the PMO, implementing effective governance and metrics, and cultivating a high-performing team rooted in Lean principles. As the VP, you will guide and oversee projects to ensure compliance with established standards and requirements.
Applicants should possess a robust background in project and program management, particularly with large-scale transportation infrastructure projects. A valid PMP certification, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and a minimum of 15 years of project / program management experience, including at least 7 years in senior leadership roles, are required. Candidates with experience in Caltrans projects and a proven ability to establish governance and performance dashboards will be favored. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of project management standards, Lean methodologies, and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams while building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
