JOB DESCRIPTION
Title : Engineer Department : Engineering Services
Job Purpose Statement : Performs engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of water reclamation plants and collection system including collection and analysis of data and information for project scope development, preparation of contract documents, and bidding. Interface with Project Manager during construction phase of projects. Direction and coordination of the District’s CMOM program for collection system inspection and maintenance.
Reporting Structure : Supervisor of Design and Construction.

Job Qualification Requirements
Knowledge : B.S. degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or Process Engineering.
Experience : 3 years of experience in application of engineering principles is desired or a master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or Process Engineering in lieu of experience.
Machines, Tools, Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software : Proficiency in use of engineering software tools (AutoCAD, GIS ArcView).
Licenses / Certifications : Professional Engineer registration in the State of Illinois or ability to obtain within one year of being eligible.
Other : Valid driver’s license.
The current starting pay rate for this position is $77,754 / year. The District offers the following benefits :
