We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Catalyst team in Elyria, OH.

BASF's Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting production by performing routine and specialized testing. You will also be responsible for verifying the quality of materials before shipment to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.

During your shift as a Lab Technician III, you will

• Perform common analytical tests such Surface Area measurements, Density measurements, metals analysis by ICP-AES and XRF, Particle Size Analysis, and several others tests and pieces of equipment.
• Function effectively within a team of lab personnel to ensure testing is performed in a timely manner.
• Maintain equipment and perform calibrations.
• Report and compile test data in SAP and LIMS software systems.
• Interact professionally with Production staff and other technical personnel.
• Manage retain sample inventory.
• Prepare samples to ship to customers and other external parties.
• Ensure safe operations of both yourself and those around you.
