Human Resources Specialist (Military)
As a Human Resources Specialist (Military), the primary purpose is to administer and accomplish functions of one or more of the following human resources programs : Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, and / or Readiness.
Responsibilities include :
- Serving as advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) programs.
- Planning, directing, controlling and providing advisory services on all aspects of the Career Enhancement program.
- Planning, directing, and controlling all aspects of the Customer Service Program.
- Planning, directing, and controlling all aspects of the human resources employment program.
- Planning, directing, and controlling all aspects of the Relocation program for all members.
- Ensuring accuracy of human resources data system and performing functional review of data reliability relative to the relocations program.
- Developing wing readiness plans for the administration of contingencies and mobilizations.
- Managing contingency and exercise deployments.
- Managing Deployment Systems.
- Being responsible to the Military Support Flight Commander for the Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO) portion of the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) Report.
- Serving as Classified Control Officer responsible for safeguarding and proper destruction of classified material IAW AF instructions, higher headquarters and local guidance.
Requirements include :
National Guard membership is required.This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the ND Air National Guard.Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.You must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment of the Gun Control Act. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.Applicants who are not currently a member of the ND Air National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the ND Air National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.Qualifications :
Permanent Change of Station costs will not be paid for this position. Areas of consideration include all onboard ND Air NG Federal Employees, all onboard ND Air NG Federal Employee, all ND Air NG military members, all military members, and all U.S. citizens. The maximum military grade is Enlisted TSGT / E-6 with compatible military assignments of 3F0X1, 3F5X1, 3F2X1, 3F1X1. Quality of experience is based on duties performed rather than rank, and established compatibility criteria / assignments must be followed. Applicants must meet specialized experience or have equivalent education and experience.
