Overhaul Base Manager

The Overhaul Business Manager (OBM) is a leadership position within the Aftermarket Operations organization. It is primarily focused on operational performance and the relationship between Aftermarket Operations and our MRO service provider. It is a key interface point for the broader, global organization and will interface with the executive leadership team of our MRO service provider as the embedded manager. The ideal candidate must be able to lead, plan, and / or coordinate many different kinds of operational activities in a diverse technical environment. This role is a full-time, on-site position and does not offer a remote or hybrid work schedule.

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to :

  • Expand and improve the business relationship through a professional on-site presence and participation in key meetings
  • Agree and drive the quarterly output plan
  • Coordinate interface activities between the global organization and the MRO service provider to deliver the output plan
  • Ensure compliance to service provider agreements and customer contract requirements
  • Lead the on-site organization by providing clear objectives, problem resolution, development, and prioritization

Basic Requirements :

  • Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience in an aviation discipline, or
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in an aviation discipline, or
  • Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in an aviation discipline, or
  • JD / PhD, or
  • In lieu of a degree 12+ years of experience in an aviation discipline
  • Preferred Requirements :

  • Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures in an operational environment
  • Familiarity with airworthiness regulations
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focus
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with shop personnel
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic ability, problem solving, and decision making
  • Experience working with multiple business functions, both technical and non-technical

    Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

    For fully remote roles, employees can live in any state except Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Vermont, and Wyoming.
