Pay : $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
Note : This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week in the Charlotte, NC office and surrounding project sites.
Note : T he qualified candidate for this position must have at least 5 years of construction engineering inspection experience, supervisory or project management experience, and a valid Class C drivers license.

Job Description
- Oversee daily activities of construction engineering inspectors across multiple roadway and bridge projects
- Manage project schedules, assignments, and staff workloads to ensure quality and timely completion
- Review and approve inspection reports, testing data, and field documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project engineers
- Ensure compliance with NCDOT standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for inspectors and junior staff
- Conduct field visits to monitor quality, resolve issues, and support staff as needed
- Coordinate material sampling, testing requirements, and traffic control oversight
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for project managers and stakeholders
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent training / experience)Minimum of 5 years of construction engineering inspection experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory or management roleStrong knowledge of NCDOT specifications, roadway construction, and inspection processesProficiency in record keeping, plan reading, and construction surveyingExperience with Microsoft Office and drafting softwareExcellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and interact with clients / contractorsValid Class C drivers licenseAbility to obtain and maintain required certifications for inspection and testingWillingness to work nights, weekends, or extended hours when projects demandWhy This Is a Great Opportunity
