We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take on a vital Maintenance, Repair, and Engineering support role within the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) Department in Andover, MA. This position is critical in supporting production maintenance as well as the dimensional metrology laboratory.
As a successful candidate, you will thrive in a dynamic operations environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and prioritizing complex activities in coordination with various support areas.
Your Responsibilities
Independently maintain test equipment on the manufacturing floor with minimal supervision.
Guide and mentor junior professionals and technicians in troubleshooting best practices and procedures.
Design significant improvements for systems and test equipment that enhance operational efficiency and production uptime.
Assist MTEM customers on the manufacturing floor by keeping accurate test equipment records using the IndySoft application.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
At least 3 years of experience in test station or fixture design and troubleshooting.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of electronics, including RF, Digital, or High Power, as well as physical and mechanical interfacing applications.
Experience in developing, editing, and refining preventative maintenance and calibration procedures using effective techniques and methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings to aid in the troubleshooting of test stations and equipment.
Capability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
Familiarity with Six Sigma and LEAN 6S principles or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
