KēSTA I.T. is actively seeking a Government Services Business Development Representative for immediate hire.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager / Business Development Representative to drive sales of our staff augmentation services and solutions within the Federal Government, SLED and 3rd party integrator business sector.

This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing direct business opportunities with government agencies while also securing indirect opportunities through government integrators.

They will be responsible for positioning our organization to participate as a preferred partner with public sector clients, facilitate dialog around contract vehicles, and be responsible for capture management and establishing a "gate process" for bid evaluation.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in government sales, understands contract vehicles, procurement processes, and knows how to "follow the money" to position our company for success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand our presence in the government sector.
  • Identify, qualify, and close direct staff augmentation opportunities with government agencies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with government integrators to capture indirect business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to track government spending, identify funding sources, and anticipate upcoming IT staffing needs.
  • Leverage understanding of contract vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedules, IDIQs, BPAs) to position our company competitively.
  • Respond for managing the development of RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs and for overseeing the development of proposals that highlight our value proposition.
  • Educate clients on the differences between staff augmentation, professional services, and outsourcing, advising on the most appropriate model for each scenario.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, pipeline status, and client interactions in CRM systems.
  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and government procurement forums to enhance visibility and drive new business.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling IT services or products to federal and / or state government clients.
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and win both direct and indirect government business.
  • Experience developing relationships with government agencies and system integrators.
  • Proven success in responding to RFPs and government solicitations, including crafting proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Ability to navigate complex government procurement processes and advocate for solutions that fit client needs.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Familiarity with tools / forums such as SAM, GOVWIN, GSA, FPDS, and MSP / VMS environments to track and deliver upon opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
