Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner located in Cooper City, FL. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide direct care to patients including medication management, psychotherapy, and psychiatric evaluations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health services and be able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide effective care for patients.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida with authority to prescribe psychiatric medications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychiatric mental health services, and experience in therapy with individuals and families.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing diagnoses, and creating treatment plans for patients of all ages.
- Proficient in working with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide effective patient care and support.
- Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) is a plus, but not required
