Direct the company's import compliance and international trade processes to ensure the legal and efficient importation of specialty Italian food products, including cured meats, cheeses, and olive oils. Oversee and direct the end-to-end supply chain for imports, including customs clearance, classification, documentation, and regulatory adherence. Lead compliance efforts with U.S. import laws and food safety standards, including those governed by CBP, FDA, USDA, and FSMA. Oversee compliance audits of foreign suppliers. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, customs brokers, and logistics partners. Liaise with Italian production facilities to assess supply chain risks, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure adherence to U.S. food import requirements. Monitor global trade policies and ensure the company's practices remain aligned with international and federal regulations. Oversee the development and execution of import compliance protocols and provide ongoing training and guidance to internal teams, including operations, warehousing, and sales teams. Salary : $104,000 / yr.
