ThePlumberApprentice supports plumbing operations for foundation repair, waterproofing, and crawl space encapsulation projects. This entry-level role focuses on learning the trade through hands-on experience,assistinglicensed plumbers, and ensuring work meets safety and quality standards. The position is ideal for individuals pursuing a plumbing career and committed to developing technical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assistwith installing, repairing, andmaintainingresidential plumbing systems, including sump pumps, water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints and specifications under supervision.
Support troubleshooting and repair efforts by preparing tools, materials, and work areas.
Maintain a clean and organized job site and follow all safety protocols.
Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites as needed.
Document work performed and materials used under guidance.
Respond to direction from Journeyman and Master Plumbers and complete assigned tasks promptly.
Participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning to build plumbing knowledge.
Uphold Groundworks’ culture of teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GEDrequired.
Enrollment in or completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program preferred.
Basic understanding of plumbing systems and tools.
Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, climbing, confined spaces).
Good communicationand teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to Groundworks locations.
OSHA 10 certification preferred (training available).
Valid driver's license & eligible tooperatecompany vehicle
Available to work a regular Monday - Friday schedule
