POSITION SUMMARY
Meet or exceed sales goals for goods and services sold by Preferred Pump and Equipment LP. Responsible for selling water well / septic (and related) products and services; develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers; and performing other essential duties of this position.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Regularly meet with (in-person) current and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
- Prospecting : Constantly prospecting for new customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
- Sales Activity Planning and Organization : Develop advanced, written sales call plans that include a schedule, contact list and sales strategy for each meeting.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Negotiate details of contracts and payments, prepare sales contracts and order forms.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Credit / Collections : Responsible for working with assigned customers / prospects to obtain credit information, update credit information and resolve outstanding collection issues.
- Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
- Present, market and update PPE incentive programs including Dealer Award Programs, open house events and customer training programs.
- Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
- Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, hold a valid driver license, meet Company driver standards and must meet Company insurability requirements.
- Perform administrative duties including maintaining sales records and timely completion of expense account reports. May have some responsibility for warranty administration.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education :
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) : Required
Experience :
Two or more years of related outside sales experience.
Computer Skills :
Ability to use basic computer applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, web browsers and order processing computer applications.
