A Fortune 500 company is hiring an EHS Specialist in the Aiken Area!

Position Title : Safety and Environmental Specialist

Location : Aiken, SC

Pay : $50k-$75k

Reports to : Plant Director

Position Summary :

The Safety and Environmental Specialist oversees safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with government regulations.

They must possess strong interpersonal skills to engage with individuals at all levels within the organization and prioritize corporate, employee, and business needs.

The Ideal Candidate :

Experience & Expertise :

Implementing safety programs for compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations

Conducting site audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols

Analyzing hazardous conditions and recommending improvements

Providing site-specific safety training and maintaining documentation

Collaborating with site leadership to meet safety objectives and address compliance issues

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent experience

Previous experience in safety programs within a manufacturing environment preferred

Proficiency in OSHA and EPA regulations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
