As a Senior Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between engineering and customers, ensuring high-quality design and development of wire harnesses and associated components. You will be responsible for leading new product designs, maintaining existing products, and coordinating technical activities across multiple teams. This position involves close collaboration with product designers, manufacturing, and customers to ensure design accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will contribute to cost optimization, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a technical resource for harness and assembly applications. This role offers exposure to challenging projects, advanced technologies, and a dynamic environment where innovation and precision are highly valued.

Accountabilities :

• Design and develop wire harnesses, assemblies, and related components according to customer and internal specifications.
• Collaborate with CAD / Product Designers to create accurate models, drawings, and packaging for wire harness systems.
• Conduct design reviews, develop DFMEAs, DVPs, and validate product designs for robustness and compliance.
• Act as primary technical liaison for new product introduction, addressing issues and ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through VA / VE initiatives, alternate materials, and design improvements.
• Support cross-functional teams including Sales, NPI, Operations, and Purchasing with technical expertise.
• Mentor and train less experienced engineers, providing guidance on design best practices.
