Job descriptionBachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field, 2-5 years' technical editing experience. Minimum 1-2 years' experience in creating and modifying templates, style sheets, and formats. Experience with structured HTML, SGML, or XML, and S1000 or DITA content. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE 100) specification. Self-motivated with good problem solving and organization skills. U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret clearance (or higher). Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field, 5-10 years' technical editing experience, 3 years' experience with Master's. Minimum 5 years' experience in creating and modifying templates, style sheets, and formats. Minimum of 5 years' experience editing page-based and structured (HTML, SGML, and XML, and S1000D and DITA) content. Excellent attention to detail. Experience with structured technical data. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Excellent problem solving and organization skills. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance (or higher). Minimum of 2 years' experience with structured authoring applications, such as : MadCap, FrameMaker, or Arbortext. Experience with Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE 100). Member of the Society for Technical Communicators (STC). Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS / SCI). Marketing, Public Relations, and Writing / Editing IT Services and IT Consulting

Responsibilities
- Edit technical documents to ensure compliance with spelling, grammar and punctuation, style, layout and specification requirements.
- Collaborate with task / team leads, writers, engineers, and instructors, to publish and deliver documents.
- Develop templates based on style guides to adhere to military specifications and standards of technical writing.
- Perform Desktop Publishing tasks for all program technical data products and publish materials in hardcopy and electronic formats.
