This is a skilled sales position for a confident, highly motivated professional in the building material industry. The Area Manager must be self-disciplined to work independently, in an assigned territory, to grow fluid-applied coating sales in the commercial building envelope market.
- Ability to execute the area sales strategy and meet or exceed annual performance goals
- Perform sales presentations to contractors, distributors, dealers, design professionals, and building owners.
- Deliver product knowledge and application training to contractors, dealers and distribution personnel.
- Ability to consult on specification driven projects and commercial roofing and waterproofing best practices.
- Generate and drive leads through the entire sales process.
- Develop and manage relationships with that support contribute to revenue growth.
- Represent the Holcim Building Envelope Gaco brand at events and tradeshows.
- Ability to travel frequently in designated territory (75%)
1) Three to five years sales experience (Coatings & Building Material industry is preferred)
2) Strong track record in building business and increasing sales.
3) Ability to build effective and lasting relationships.
4) Ability to speak and present to small groups.
5) Ability to climb a ladder and step onto a roof and / or construction project
6) Computer Skills - Ability to navigate a Google business platform, utilize mobile devides, and mobile applications.
7) Basic math skills, calculating discounts, and calculating area.
8) Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
