The Revenue Cycle Data & Systems Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and performance of revenue cycle data and technology systems. This role focuses on optimizing system configuration, managing clearinghouse functions, and supporting key processes that directly impact reimbursement accuracy and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about using data and technology to drive operational excellence in healthcare revenue cycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain fee schedules in the PMS to ensure accurate charge capture and compliance with payer contracts. Build and maintain insurance plans including plan configurations, fee schedule alignments, and benefit setups.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for revenue cycle systems, including practice management, clearinghouse, and contracting platforms.
- Partner with RCM leadership and cross-functional teams to support process automation, data validation, and technology optimization initiatives.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data or interface issues between platforms (e.g., PMS, EHR, clearinghouse, x-ray platforms and analytics tools).
- Support implementation and integration projects for new technologies or system enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations to align data definitions, ensure consistent reporting, and maintain system security.
- Provide user training and documentation to improve system adoption and accuracy across the revenue cycle team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with system testing, training, and documentation as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).3-5 years of experience in healthcare or dental revenue cycle analytics, systems management, or data reporting.Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).Understanding of RCM metrics such as AR days, denial rates, collections, and net revenue performance.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate analytical insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.Benefits We Offer :
