ICU RN

Status / FTE : PT / 0.4-0.6 FTE

Shift length : 12 hours

Start Time : 0700

Unit : ICU

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays) : 12-hour days shifts; every third weekend, holidays by rotation

Unit specific additional qualifications : 2-4 years ICU experience

Required qualifications :

• Current state RN license
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
• ACLS required within six months of hire
• Two (2) years of nursing experience required

Preferred qualifications :

Additional Information / Department information : The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patient from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the critical care setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor, and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in all procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents related to critical care.
