Director Of Administrative Operations
This position directs and manages all administrative operations for Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) with its combined two hundred salaried and hourly employees. As senior management, this position works closely with six other directors in supporting their respective teams and the Associate Dean of Instructional Technology and Facilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate proactively with LAITS associate dean and directors to establish clear organizational goals and priorities across the organization, fostering cohesion and ensuring operational success.
- Direct and manage all administrative operations for Liberal Arts ITS. Duties include, but are not limited to : payroll, human resources, employment recruitment, purchasing; payment vouchering, budgeting, account reconciliation, financial reporting; inventory management, building management, contract writing and management.
- Service center management.
- Oversee and coordinate the financial activity generated by campus MOUs and SLAs for services provided by LAITS to external clients including Office of the Executive Vice President & Provost (EVPP) and others.
- Direct, manage, and supervise the LAITS Administrative Team.
- Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of demonstrated effective experience in program management, administrative management, and / or financial management within an academic environment.Ability to work with precision and attention to detail on multiple projects concurrently, under pressure of rigid overlapping deadlines and time limitations in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated strong organizational skills.Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate professionally and collaborate effectively with leadership, faculty, staff, and student staff to resolve complex issues.Build and maintain strong relationships with customer liaisons and leadership in units supported by LAITS.Demonstrated financial and budgeting experience. High level of competence with use of related software and tools for analysis and reporting.Demonstrated background and knowledge of HR policies, tools, and practices supporting recruiting, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and separation.Experience managing annual inventory certification for a large unit.Experience with contract / agreement management and associated business practices.Experience working with both Apple and Windows-based computers. Skilled with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.Competence in Workday andDEFINE.Salary Range
$100,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
