Job description

Position Overview

This role is dedicated to delivering clinical services within the Employee Health department. The primary duties include administering annual flu vaccinations and ensuring tuberculosis (TB) compliance for all staff members, as well as managing health compliance for new hires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support for employee health initiatives.
  • Administer annual flu shots and manage flu compliance for employees.
  • Conduct annual TB and respiratory fit testing, including thorough documentation.
  • Oversee new hire physical compliance and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain and update the employee health database.
  • Develop and review clinical policies, procedures, forms, and medical records.
  • Ensure adherence to Cal / OSHA guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is required.
  • One year or more of experience in Occupational Health is preferred.
  • Experience in a medical clinic or hospital setting (1-2 years) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation systems and OSHA / Cal-OSHA regulations is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities are essential.
  • Education

  • Graduation from an accredited LVN program is required.
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • Current LVN license valid in California is mandatory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider is required.

    All candidates must successfully complete a physical evaluation, urine drug screening, and pre-employment background checks prior to starting employment. Compliance with regional COVID-19 vaccination mandates is required, including documented proof of vaccination or an approved exemption.
