ATC - Northwest is recruiting for an experienced mental health therapist to work with incarcerated adult consumers presenting a range of mental health symptoms. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide quality mental health services to our patients, helping them in their journey towards healing and wellness. Requirements :
Oregon license as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker or QMHPMaster's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fieldMinimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical mental health setting, preferably working with diverse populationsKnowledge of evidence-based practices for treating mental health disorders, including trauma-informed careExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with colleaguesAbility to work independently and within a team, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasksProficiency in electronic health record systems and other technology used for documentation and communicationCommitment to ongoing professional development and cultural competencyResponsibilities :
Must be skilled in diagnosis, risk assessment, knowledge of the philosophy of recovery, court decorum, court reports, individual and group therapy, case management, and be able to provide professional consultation.Candidates should have familiarity with Evidence-Based Practice and have excellent case management and therapy skills, especially in the area of engaging mandated clientsDuties include providing risk assessment, jail housing recommendations for safety needs, exit strategy planning, and consultation with jail deputies around mental health concerns for adults in custody.Court testimony and assisting with required reports / documentation for multiple forensic outpatient programs such as Aid and Assist, Psychiatric Review Board, and Jail Diversion outpatient referrals may be needed.Excellent writing skills and an understanding of professional etiquette within the judicial system are required. Must be able to work within an interdisciplinary team and be flexible with task assignments.They must also follow documentation requirements under the Oregon Administrative Rules and department policies and procedures.Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of mental health to enhance the quality of services providedAdhere to ethical standards and maintain professional boundaries with patients and colleaguesAbout ATC Healthcare Services
