Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Summary

Shift : 12-Hour Days | Every Other Weekend | First to Float

Setting : Acute Care – Inpatient Child / Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry

Guaranteed Hours : 36 / week

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Charting : EPIC

Certifications Required : BLS, CHI Health Workplace Violence Prevention (CPI preferred)

BSN Required : No

Trauma Level : II Position Overview

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered mental health care within a locked inpatient behavioral health unit serving both adolescents and adults. Nurses play a hands-on role in therapeutic engagement, safety monitoring, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This is the region’s only child / adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit.

Adult : 3 : 1 , may increase up to 7 patients
