Position Overview :

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our manufacturing processes, ensuring they align with our business objectives and production needs.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be the driving force behind new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment development.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills, problem-solving prowess, and technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead mechanical engineering efforts in product design, manufacturing processes, and capital equipment development.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the operations group during new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
  • Take ownership of production, assembly, tooling, and calibration processes as needed.
  • Ensure designs and processes align with overall business strategy and production requirements.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, creating process routings for optimal efficiency.
  • Design, procure, or build necessary tooling and finishing within allocated budgets.
  • Support equipment upgrades from procurement through installation.
  • Conduct cost / benefit analyses for process and equipment changes.
  • Drive safety initiatives and ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to address product or process issues affecting performance or delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate sources of labor efficiency variations and product quality issues.
  • Spearhead high-impact process and quality improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce defects.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve process capability, reduce costs, and increase capacity.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, in high precision machining.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with CAD software, preferably Unigraphics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, quality systems, and statistical process control tools.
  • Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (G,D&T).
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
