Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online Creative Writing tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor online via the Live Learning Platform, delivering personalized instruction to students.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
  • Use the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.

Compensation

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects; up to $40 / hour with the same student over time.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct.

  • Expertise in Creative Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Preference for those with tutoring / teaching experience and graduate-level education.
