Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing manufacturing company in the Howard County area seeks a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, ensuring accuracy and proper approval.
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
• Maintain vendor files, ensuring all W-9 forms and related documentation are current.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate effectively regarding payment status.
• Assist with month-end closing by preparing accruals and reports as needed.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations of AP transactions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
