Veterinary Radiology Technologist, SAVES

South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is seeking a   full-time   Radiology Technologist  to join our outstanding team!

Compensation :  $34 - $40 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Schedule Requirements :  Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2PM

Responsibilities :

Daily use of Radiologic imaging such as X-Ray, MRI and CT.

Performs X-Ray, MRI, and CT scans with proper technical factors.

In partnership with the Veterinary Technicians, assists with positioning of patients to ensure appropriate images are captured.

Trains staff to form standard expectations with all patient imaging, and creates or reviews imaging protocols.

Works independently or under the guidance of the clinician to modify scan techniques for optimal image quality.

Troubleshoots image quality issues while performing X-Ray, MRI, and CT.

Performs routine X-Ray, MRI, and CT quality assurance and reports any concerns in a timely manner.

Maintains a clean and safe environment and adhere to appropriate restricted access.

In partnership with the Facilities Manager and service vendors, troubleshoots technology issues with scanners / equipment when needed.

Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (associate or bachelor’s degree).

Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required

At least 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist in human medicine

Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
