We’re looking for Associate HR Business Partners (AHRBPs) to join our global HRBP team. Aligned centrally under our HRBP Enablement team, AHRBPs are embedded within global functions and work alongside HRBPs to operationalize and deliver impactful people programs.
You’ll gain exposure to high-impact work across the globe, develop technical and strategic skills, and grow through hands-on experience with the support of HRBP mentors and the broader Enablement team. This is a client-facing role where you’ll partner directly with employees and managers to provide coaching and guidance, answer questions, facilitate training, and drive day-to-day HR execution within your client group.

Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support directly to employees and managers, coaching them on people-related matters and influencing effective decision-making to drive team performance, engagement, and alignment with HR best practices.
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues appropriately, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with internal processes and partners.
- Collaborate closely with HRBPs and COEs to deliver key people programs and projects, including org design, talent reviews, team effectiveness, and policy design.
- Drive end-to-end performance management, in close partnership with your client group(s) in all markets, supporting Block People’s mission to foster and sustain a high-performance culture.
- Drive or support execution of cyclical programs such as compensation planning, promotion processes and audits, talent reviews, performance evaluations, and employee experience surveys (Pulse).
- Analyze people data and trends to support reporting, insights, and strategic decision-making within your client group.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across the People team—including with People Operations, Compensation, Talent, People Analytics, and other COEs—to coordinate and deliver seamless experiences.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR processes and tools, in partnership with HR Enablement, contributing to a more scalable and efficient operating model.
- Maintain compliance and data accuracy through regular audits and other administrative responsibilities.
- Apply a global perspective when partnering with client groups and cross-functional stakeholders across international markets—ensuring alignment with local employment laws, cultural norms, market-specific practices, and coordination with the appropriate local stakeholders and COE partners.
Requirements
3-5 years experience in an HR generalist, people operations, or business partner support roleFamiliarity with administering cyclical or ongoing people programs, such as performance management, compensation planning, or engagement survey programExcellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal—with the ability to influence and build trust across varying levels of seniority and partnersExperience in client-facing HRBP work and coaching mid–senior leaders through complex people challengesExperience working with HR systems and tools (e.g. Workday, Visier, Glint, Looker)Proficiency in data tools such as Google Sheets / Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and dashboards)Strong judgment and discretion when working with sensitive issues; able to identify when to escalate appropriatelyAnalytical mindset with a proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making through actionable insightsHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environmentA proactive, principled, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, grounded in pragmatism and adaptabilityDemonstrated ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity with curiosity, resilience, and optimismCommitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive informationWhat We Offer
