Technical Business Analyst

Hybrid (St. Louis Metro Area 63043)

12-month Contract (with strong likelihood of extension or conversion)

$35-$45 / hr

Brooksource is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to work with our Fortune 70 client in the Telecommunications industry.

As a Technical Business Analyst on this team, you will work with customers within the organization on the maintenance and perform system integration testing of PC / server operating systems, related utilities and hardware, and administer applications supporting all of the client’s divisions.

Responsibilities include :

• Opportunity to work on a wide range of operating systems, virtualization hypervisors and database systems software.
• Opportunity to learn Network management and security-related applications installation, configuration and integration.
• Opportunity to learn various business-critical application designs, configurations and data recovery.
• Responsible for leading communication between technical groups and the business
• Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables.
• Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems.
• Ensure requirements are clear, concise and testable
• Conduct elicitations meeting with all the Stakeholders involved
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations.
• Identifies, documents, reports and tracks system issues.

Required Qualifications

• IT work experience 4+ yrs
• System related experience 2+ yrs
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be proficient in MS Office
• Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of business users in a professional manner
• Increased knowledge and ability to make decisions around service ticket requests utilizing software such as Remedy
• Intermediate level knowledge of system administration tasks and ability to perform more advanced research and recommend approaches for resolutions

Preferred Qualifications :

• Knowledge in installing / configuring and maintaining hypervisors and wide variety of operating systems such as Unix and Windows
• Knowledge in application installation, configurations and integration of various tools
• Good knowledge in operational security practices and tools
• Strong Troubleshooting and operational experience
• Understanding of Database systems and the configuration of database systems software

Education :

• BA / BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
