Inventory Supervisor
This position will oversee inventory, shipping, and receiving operations. The role involves reconfiguring inventory processes and warehouse layout to maximize efficiency. The Inventory Supervisor will ensure the accuracy of all inventory, including raw materials and finished goods, within the ERP system and manage customer-owned finished goods inventory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inventory accuracy in ERP systems, both in quantity and location.
- Manage customer-owned finished goods inventory and provide inventory reports.
- Conduct physical inventories of customer-owned parts.
- Pick and prepare customer-owned parts for shipment, including handling customer documentation.
- Set up bins for raw material, finished goods, and customer-owned inventory locations in ERP.
- Kit inventory for production and move inventory between bin locations while maintaining FIFO traceability.
- Analyze inventory for obsolescence and recommend disposal of obsolete items.
- Count and restock parts from returned kits and determine if they should be restocked or disposed.
- Maintain ABC codes in ERP and record scrap and inventory adjustments.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts, research discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and publish reports.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of inventory experience within a manufacturing plant using an ERP system.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Supervisory skills with the ability to oversee a small team.Experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving, and warehouse distribution.Understanding of preparing inventory for production / manufacturing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in warehouse management and inventory control systems.Ability to revamp unorganized systems and processes.Work Environment
The position is onsite, Monday to Friday, from 6am to 2 : 30pm. The role involves working in a dynamic environment with new leadership focusing on business improvement and growth.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00 / hr.
