Construction - Project Manager

Join Our Team as a Project Manager! Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the construction industry? Whitaker Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our team in Paso Robles, CA. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, well-spoken project manager to oversee multiple projects including earthwork, underground utilities, street improvements and concrete structures. Project size ranges from 300k to 10 Million. The job includes both hands on and administrative duties. Daily Responsibilities : Manage and oversee construction projects from conception to completion Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Review and interpret project plans and specifications Project Controls (RFI’s, RFP’s, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.) Generate and track billings Work with Foreman to schedule tasks, determine best construction methods and control labor, equipment and material usage Conduct on site meetings with foreman and client Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control Required Skills : Report of office Daily. This is not a remote position. 3 yrs. experience in heavy civil construction - preferred Degree in Construction Management / Civil Engineering preferred but not required Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction materials, processes, and equipment Ability to read and understand plans and specifications Self-Motivated, Hard Working, Problem Solver, Attention to Detail Well organized Ability to lead and communicate to a team Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Agtek, (Trimble GPS Machine Control a plus) Valid Driver License with no restrictions Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Company Information : Whitaker Construction Group, Inc. is a heavy civil construction firm based on California's Central Coast, specializing in a wide range of services including mass earthwork, fine grading, road construction, and underground utilities.
