Position Overview
Matia Mobility is seeking Independent Sales Reps to join our team on a 1099 basis. This role is perfect for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial sales professional with a proven track record in selling power wheelchairs, power scooters, stair lifts or other complex durable medical equipment directly to end users. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation - Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within your territory, leveraging industry contacts, networking events, and innovative outreach strategies.
Sales & Relationship Management - Engage directly with end users, understand their mobility needs, and present tailored solutions using Matia Mobility’s product portfolio. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Product Expertise & Demonstrations - Develop a deep understanding of Tek RMD M1. Conduct in-person or virtual product demonstrations and educational sessions to highlight features, benefits, and usage best practices.
Pipeline Management - Independently manage your sales pipeline from initial contact through to closing deals. Provide regular updates and forecasts to the management team.
Market & Industry Insight - Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Provide feedback to help shape marketing strategies and product development.
Compliance & Documentation - Ensure all sales activities adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
Qualifications
Proven Sales Experience - Demonstrable experience selling power wheelchairs, power scooters, stair lifts or other complex durable medical equipment directly to end users. A strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets is essential.
Self-Motivated & Independent - Ability to work autonomously as a 1099 independent contractor. Must be highly driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial in approach.
Excellent Communication Skills - Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex product information in an accessible manner.
Industry Knowledge - Familiarity with the durable medical equipment market and an understanding of the specific challenges and needs of end users in the mobility sector.
Organizational Skills - Capable of managing a dynamic sales pipeline and multiple customer relationships simultaneously.
Technology Proficiency - Comfortable using CRM systems, sales tools and virtual communication platforms.
Valid Driver’s License - If required for local travel and product demonstrations.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation - Competitive commission-based structure with performance incentives and bonus opportunities designed to provide a baseline of $250,000 in commissions per year with significant upside from there. Multiple territories have $400,000+ opportunities for the right people.
