About The Position

Must-Have : CABG on Bypass

CABG Off Bypass

Mitral Valve or Aortic Valve Replacement

Bentall Procedure

Pulmonary Embolisms

Balloon Pump and Impella

Hybrid Cases for TAVR

Lung Cases including VATS / Thoracotomy procedures, Lobectomy, Decortication, and Wedgy Biopsy

Flexibility to float to other rooms as needed

Description :

Responsible for providing nursing care in the CVOR setting.

Demonstrate proficiency in performing cardiovascular procedures.

Assist with CABG procedures both on and off bypass.

Conduct valve replacements including aortic and mitral valves.

Handle Bentall procedures and manage pulmonary embolisms.

Utilize balloon pumps and Impella devices effectively.

Participate in hybrid cases for TAVR procedures.

Perform lung surgeries such as VATS and thoracotomy procedures, including lobectomy and decortication.

Conduct wedgy biopsies as necessary.

Availability is required for call shifts, which may be frequent.

Expectations include 1-2 call shifts of 16 hours each weekly and a full weekend call every 4th weekend.

Total number of operating rooms includes 12 ORs and a hybrid OR.

Average number of cases per day is approximately 35-40.
