Senior Account Manager
We are looking to hire a Senior Account Manager to join our Sales team in North America. Salary range - $82,880 - $90,000. This role is office based out of our NY or LA office. In this role, you will be fully embedded within your customer teams, acting as a trusted partner to help them expand their business. Your primary focus will be renewing subscription contracts, delivering monthly high growth within accounts across our diverse product offerings, and identifying strategic consultancy opportunities to drive revenue and growth. As a Senior Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of growth and strategic accounts, uncovering consultancy opportunities, and fostering long-term client relationships in North America. You'll leverage your sales expertise to negotiate and close business deals while keeping a finger on the pulse of market conditions to stay ahead of the competition.
Using a consultative sales approach, you'll design and execute tailored strategies to meet clients' needs and contribute to achieving ambitious sales goals. Your ability to spot opportunities, prospect, build relationships, and drive results will make you a key player in the team's success. Key Accountabilities
- Own the sales cycle : Take charge of managing annual contract renewals and uncovering new business opportunities within your assigned book of accounts. You'll drive every stage of the sales processqualifying prospects, delivering sales pitches and presentations, negotiating contracts, navigating legal and procurement discussions, updating your salesforce pipeline daily and closing deals to ensure client satisfaction and continued growth.
- Consistently hit & exceed targets : Thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment by consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs. Your performance will be directly tied to your ability to drive business results and achieve ambitious sales goals.
- Grow & nurture client relationships : Manage a value-based book of business across top key accounts within the region, driving client relationships. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will be critical to securing renewals and expanding our footprint across multiple product offerings.
- Deliver high-impact presentations : Be the voice of WGSN as you pitch our value proposition to clients and prospects across key industries including Fashion, Beauty, Food & Drink, Interiors, Sports & Outdoors, and Consumer Tech. Your ability to tailor presentations to different markets and demonstrate the unique benefits of our service will be key to closing deals and winning new business.
- Drive strategic partnerships for revenue growth : Take a consultative approach to account management by understanding client needs, identifying opportunities for growth, and positioning WGSN as a trusted partner that delivers measurable value. Increase client usage and adoption of WGSN through client specific strategies
- Collaborate across the sales team and supporting roles to identify cross-selling opportunities for additional products
- Build relationships across clients teams including senior level relationships with decision makers
- In addition to regular in-office days (approx. 3 per week), this role includes client travels needed to support meetings, presentations and relationship building (~15% travel or / and as needed)
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
Proven sales expertise : A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales or account management, selling to key decision-makers and negotiating contracts in a B2B environment. Experience with Fortune 500 companies is highly desirable.Track record of success : A demonstrable history of achieving or exceeding sales targets, particularly in a subscription-based product or service environment.Client relationship building : Expertise in developing and nurturing relationships with high-level executives, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and driving business growth.Excellent communication skills : Strong ability to present and sell services through proposals, presentations, phone calls, and case studies. Your negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders will be essential to your success.Salesforce CRM experience : Proficiency in using Salesforce (or similar CRM tools) to manage pipelines, track leads, and maintain client relationships. Experience with opportunity management and data-driven sales strategies is a plus.Results-oriented : You excel in a KPI-driven, fast-paced environment, managing multiple accounts and priorities while keeping client satisfaction at the forefront.
