As an unarmed patrol officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the location. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site-specific procedures. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters. Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed by site protocols. Minimum Requirements : A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
