Shift : Afternoons - 3pm -11 : 30 pm M-F. Rotating every other weekend. May be required to work a holiday.

Job Title : Job Summary :
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist is responsible for performing computerized tomographic (CT) imaging procedures on patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The technologist may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations and related tasks as required.
Essential Functions :
Explain imaging procedures to patients and ensure proper preparation prior to the examination.Review clinical information and requisitions to determine the appropriate imaging protocol; obtain additional patient history as needed.Prepare and maintain the procedure room, ensuring adequate stock of linens and supplies.Position patients accurately, set up equipment, and perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols.Operate CT equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the targeted anatomy.Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors; monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide immediate care if necessary.Prepare and set up sterile equipment and supplies for complex procedures; assist the radiologist during advanced diagnostic or interventional exams (e.g., biopsies).Follow radiation safety and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, including appropriate shielding and equipment settings.Manage and verify all images within the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) to ensure accuracy and image completeness.Accurately document all imaging activities in the RIS (Radiology Information System) , including study initiation, completion, and indexing.Confirm imaging protocols with the radiologist as needed prior to performing the study.Consistently demonstrate the organization’s Standards of Excellence , including effective communication, teamwork, professionalism, and respect for diversity.Complete all required medical record documentation to support clinical and billing processes.Required Skills & Experience :

May work in a hospital setting or in an ambulatory / mobile imaging unit.Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; must adhere to all safety protocols.Possible exposure to contagious patients or infectious materials.May occasionally lift or move patients or equipment exceeding 10 lbs.Education :
Required : High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must complete and maintain required continuing medical education (CME) hours.Certifications & Licensure :
Required :Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with an advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) , or eligibility for registry.About HonorVet Technologies
