Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller for a full-time hybrid position, based in San Diego, CA, with flexibility for some remote work. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing financial activities, including preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and overseeing accounting processes. The role includes budgeting, financial forecasting, and evaluation of financial performance. The position will also involve collaborating with various departments to maintain financial accuracy and facilitate decision‑making processes.
In addition, this role includes responsibility for human resource resources for King Schools.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and comprehensive Financial Reporting
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience in Finance‑related problem‑solving
- Expertise in Accounting principles and practices
- Experience in running Human Resources is a preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy in financial operations
- Proficiency with financial software and tools including Excel, Sage, Power BI, ADP
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
- Understanding of aviation industry financial operations is a bonus
